Loch Achtriochtan Circuit

Loch Achtriochtan sits in the heart of Glen Coe, a small but perfectly formed loch that mirrors the surrounding mountains on calm days. This short loop walk circles the loch on mostly flat ground, making it accessible to almost everyone.

The reflections here are legendary — Aonach Dubh and the Aonach Eagach ridge reflected perfectly in the still water. Photographers flock here for sunrise and sunset shots, and it rarely disappoints.

The walk itself is short and sweet, but the setting is spectacular. The whitewashed cottage on the loch shore is one of the most photographed buildings in Scotland.
